Xiaomi Redmi 6A Highlights
Low budget users were looking for a Xiaomi phone for a while now.Xiaomi Redmi 6A is the first official Xiaomi smartphone in Bangladesh that belongs to the 10,000 Tk. price range. If this is your maximum budget, this review is worth checking out.
Redmi 6A is coming with 4G support. Network connectivity, call quality, GPS will work fine. The body is made of plastic but with a metallic finish. The display is an IPS LCD 5.45″ compact one with Full-View design. But there is a lot of unnecessary space on the top and bottom side. It is not among the best full-view designs, but the phone fits well in hand. HD+ display is offering a pretty nice viewing experience. We were overall, quite satisfied with the design and display considering the price.
Performance is surely one of the big factors. Many of us would know that we are not going to get the best of performance with 2 GB RAM, quad-core CPU and Helio A22 chipset. You will have a very minimal lag feeling while using graphics-oriented apps in low settings which shouldn’t be an issue. Regular multitasking and usage were quite smooth. The temperature of the phone goes up after using some apps. But it was not overheated and under control. The battery shall let a regular phone-dependent modern user go through a whole day. A full charge may take you about two hours and fifteen minutes which is pretty good for the price tag. We felt the overall hardware and software optimization is remarkable and one of the top in this budget range.
Both front and back cameras will capture adequate and quite authentic photos and videos. The colors, focus and brightness in the daylight were admirable. But low-light photos won’t be that impressive. The front camera is also coming with portrait bokeh which is a great addition.
Redmi 6A comes with face unlock feature, 16 GB internal storage, dual SIM and dedicated MicroSD slot. There is no official info about OTG support, but we found some reviews where users could use the OTG feature in this device. The phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor which is probably the only drawback. Altogether, a highly considerable android smartphone for the cost.
